Spa Spillover Basics
You may be wondering what exactly this water feature includes. Spillover spas are hot tubs that connect directly to your pool through a small curtain or fountain of water. This water moves directly from the jacuzzi into the swimming pool, spilling over a ledge or a series of ledges. There are different ways to accomplish this. Some homeowners choose to include an infinity spa, which is similar to an infinity pool in that the water goes over a series of drop-offs to give the illusion that the hot tub goes on infinitely.
There are also spillover spas that include one curtain of water that falls from the edge. You can get creative with how you design spillover spas. For example, you can choose to use a stone pattern for the ledge that water flows over. This stone accent can be a focal point for your pool and hot tub.
